Paris Saint-Germain maintained their focus despite the absence of Neymar and a Lyon fightback to secure a 4-2 win in Ligue 1 on Sunday. Defending champions PSG were in control by half-time with Angel Di Maria and Kylian Mbappe scoring. Then Fernando Marcal stunningly blasted the ball into the roof of his own net just after the break, raising prospects of another heavy defeat for Lyon. But Martin Terrier and Moussa Dembele pulled things back for Lyon before PSG substitute Edinson Cavani ensured the points. "Normally after a goal like that the game is over," manager Thomas Tuchel said of the own goal. "But we were not disciplined enough and it was a lesson for us that it's never over." PSG's next assignment is the Champions League last 16, first leg match away to Borussia Dortmund on February 18. They will be hoping to have Neymar back by then after he sat out a second consecutive match due to a rib complaint. "We play a lot of games and errors happen but I don't know if it's the time to be too critical," Tuchel added. "The team was great and we can't forget we were without lots of key players." In the absence of Neymar, Thiago Silva and Marquinhos, Tuchel's side made it eight straight wins and extended their unbeaten run to 21 games in all competitions. It was an important outing for Mbappe who grabbed headlines after reacting angrily to being substituted against Montpellier. There are rumours the 21-year-old may leave Paris soon, but on Sunday he was at his best. PSG sporting director Leonardo defended Mbappe following his outburst. "I heard things about Mbappe. On his personality. It makes me feel uncomfortable," he said. "If a player leaves the field, and talks to the coach, okay... he is at fault. We will talk about it and settle this. But to say that he is a spoiled child? I don't accept that. "He's an adorable, very committed person and a fantastic player."
