English teenage star Jude Bellingham started a fresh chapter with Borussia Dortmund as the German club prepared for a new Bundesliga season. Championship side Birmingham City had reached an agreement for the sale of the 17-year-old attacking midfielder to Dortmund in a deal reported to be worth more than £20 million (Dh95m). "I can't thank Birmingham City enough for what they have done for me, not just this past year but since the age of seven," Bellingham had earlier told the club's official website. "Of course I wish everyone associated with the club nothing but the best. Once a blue always a blue." Bellingham, who made his first-team debut in August last year, ended his Birmingham career as the Blues' Championship status was secured despite a 3-1 loss to Derby. Bellingham missed three first-half chances before walking off to what appeared to be cramps in the 75th minute. He will be hoping for better returns with Dortmund, where another young England player made his mark. Jadon Sancho was 17 when he moved from Manchester City to Dortmund three years ago and has since become one of the Bundesliga’s most valuable players with 17 goals and 17 assists last season. Bellingham trained with Sancho and other Dortmund players, including Norwegian striker Erling Haaland - another of the club's exciting young talents - as the club took part in their first pre-season training session on Monday. The new Bundesliga season begins on September 18. To view the photos from Dortmund's training session, click on the arrows on the gallery above, or if using a mobile device, simply swipe.
