EVERTON PLAYER RATINGS: Robin Olsen, 6 - Called into action a little more than he might have expected in the opening quarter of an hour, first beating Adam Reach’s rocket behind for a corner before Andre Green fired straight at the Swede. AFP

Seamus Coleman, 7 - A confident, composed display as you’d expect from the Everton skipper, who must have thought he’d assisted the opener when his super cross from the right found the head of Richarlison, but the bar came to the rescue. AFP

Yerry Mina, 7 - Read the danger well to step-in and steal possession as Adam Reach and Josh Windass looked to play a neat one-two, and the towering Colombian powered Everton into a 3-0 lead with a colossal header. Reuters

Mason Holgate, 6 - Produced an important block to deflect a Josh Windass strike to safety, but aside from that he was largely untroubled as Everton breezed into the fifth round. Reuters

Ben Godfrey, 6 - Faced with the tough job of containing the pace of Kadeem Harris, it was a decent performance from the Yorkshireman who stuck to his task well and was good value for his clean sheet. Reuters

Abdoulaye Doucoure, 6 - Forced to carry out some early defensive responsibilities with a big header to divert Barry Bannan’s dangerous corner to safety, but beyond that it was a comfortable night’s work for the midfielder. Reuters

Andre Gomes, 7 - Broke Wednesday’s resilience with a delightful fizzed low cross from the left that was stabbed in by Dominic Calvert-Lewin which capped a professional night’s work from the reliable midfielder. Reuters

James Rodriguez, 8 - It’s fair to say he didn’t particularly enjoy his previous FA Cup experience against Rotherham, but he showed his class against the Owls with some wonderful threaded passes and calculated set-pieces which saw him register two assists. Getty Images

Gylfi Sigurdsson, 7 - Like Rodriguez alongside him, the Iceland man caused problems with some inviting deliveries into the box and he wasn’t too far away from grabbing a goal with a whipped strike that just evaded Wildsmith’s far post. Reuters

Richarlison, 8 - The forward twice thought he’d scored as Joe Wildsmith scrambled his header onto the bar before the offside flag thwarted him a few minutes later, but he got his reward when he headed in Rodriguez’s corner after the break. Reuters

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 7 - A return to action for Everton’s goal machine who started his career with Wednesday’s cross-city rivals. He struck twice last time the two sides met and put the Toffees ahead on the slide as the Owls came unstuck again. Getty Images

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY PLAYER RATINGS: Joe Wildsmith, 5 - He’ll be hoping this one won’t live long in the memory as Calvert-Lewin converted on the slide after the goalkeeper failed to get a hand on Andre Gomes’ low cross, and he was well-beaten by headers from Richarlison and Yerry Mina. Reuters

Osaze Urhoghide, 6 - One of Wednesday’s stars last time the Owls saw off Premier League opponents, the young defender showed good awareness to see off an early driving run from Richarlison and later did just about enough to deny the Brazilian a tap-in. Getty Images

Ciaran Brennan, 6 - One of two teenaged defenders in the visiting XI, but it proved to be a humbling evening. Despite that, he didn’t actually do much wrong and produced a brilliant header to turn Calvert-Lewin’s header off the line and behind for a corner. PA

Julian Borner, 5 - Ten years older than Wednesday’s next oldest defender, the 30-year-old made a good start to the tie and provided commendable support to the young players alongside him, but ultimately Everton’s quality proved to be too much (no match photo available). Reuters

Adam Reach, 6 - One of Wednesday’s more creative players, the midfielder’s left foot has delivered plenty of screamers in recent years, and he forced the first save of the game with a piledriver from distance which tested Robin Olsen. Getty Images

Joey Pelupessy, 6 - He might not have the flair to match the likes of Rodriguez, but he battled hard and showed admirable determination to steal back possession from Richarlison after giving the ball away cheaply, though the latter escaped his attention to make it 2-0. AFP

Barry Bannan, 7 - An assured display from the experienced midfielder who could quite easily have been mistaken for a Scottish Rodriguez in short spells such was his composure in possession, and the Owls struggled to create after his withdrawal. Getty Images

Kadeem Harris, 6 - Did his best to trouble the Everton defence with his electric pace, but he didn’t really have much joy. To his credit, he didn’t shy away from his defensive duties either and provided some vital support for the youthful defence behind him. Getty Images

Callum Paterson, 5 - A quiet outing from the striker who probably won’t be winning any popularity contests with Olsen anytime soon after cheekily clattering into the Everton keeper, who unlike Paterson didn’t seem to see the funny side. Reuters

Andre Green, 6 - Not a bad occasion to make your Sheffield Wednesday debut and the former Aston Villa man gave a decent account of himself in an energetic display. But he could only fire straight at Olsen after cutting in from the left and was withdrawn at the break. Reuters

SUBS: Josh Windass, 6 - There was only one thing on the striker’s mind as he instinctively went for goal after a Wednesday free-kick took a nick of Rodriguez, but Olsen saved comfortably, and he fired his next effort straight into the body of Mason Holgate. PA

Matt Penney, 6 - Replaced Ryan Galvin for the finally half-hour. The contest was all but over by that point, but he’ll still have been disappointed to see his side concede again within two minutes of his introduction. AFP

Everton booked their place in the FA Cup fifth round on Sunday night after a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Goodison Park.

England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring with his 15th goal of the season just before the half-hour mark. Brazilian forward Richarlison doubled the hosts' advantage midway through the second half before Yerry Mina added the third three minutes later.

A routine win for the Premier League side against second-tier opposition was notable for the debut of Thierry Small, who came off the bench to become Everton's youngest ever player at the age of 16 years of 176 days.

Everton will face either Wycombe Wanderers or Tottenham Hotspur for a place in the sixth round.
