Forwards Eden Hazard, Gareth Bale and Vinicius Jr were among the Real Madrid players taking part in training on Monday as the Spanish club worked on their preparations for the visit of Club Brugge on Matchday 2 of the Champions League.

Zinedine Zidane put his squad through their paces at the Valdebebas training complex on the outskirts of Madrid as they look to get their European Cup campaign back on track.

Madrid suffered a 3-0 defeat to Paris-Saint Germain in their Group A opener on September 18, the heaviest defeat of Zidane's management career.

The club's fortunes - and more importantly their defence - have improved since that chastening in Paris when former Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria gave his former employers a torrid evening and scored two goals.

Saturday's stalemate against city rivals Atletico Madrid saw Real register a third successive clean sheet, a first under Frenchman Zidane, with club stalwart Sergio Ramos returning to lead the team's rearguard.

PSG lead the group thanks to their win over Madrid at the Parc des Princes while Brugge and Galatasaray have a point each following their 0-0 draw 12 days ago.
