Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo trained with his teammates on Monday ahead of their  Champions League Group D clash with Bayer Leverkusen in Italy.

The Serie A champions drew 2-2 with Spanish side Atletico Madrid in their opening game, when they threw away a two-goal lead in Spain against Ronaldo's old rivals from his Real days.

Juve's Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey could make his first Champions League start at the  Allianz Stadium.

The former Arsenal man has since started three league matches, although he is yet to play a full 90 minutes. Ramsey moved on a free transfer from the London club in the summer.

"We're trying to preserve him from the point of view of playing time," said Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri. "There's a big difference between playing 60 and 90 minutes."
