Courtesy of 20 fouls in seven games, their Egyptian midfielder Trezeguet is topping the charts for most fouls committed in the English top-flight. Trezeguet edges out the challenge of West Bromwich Albion's Jake Livermore, who has also been pulled up for 20 fouls, due to the fact he reached the total in one fewer game. The season so far has not been one that Paul Pogba will be remembering too fondly after falling foul of the referee's whistle on 17 occasions – including<a href="https://www.thenationalnews.com/sport/football/a-stupid-mistake-manchester-united-star-paul-pogba-apologises-after-costly-error-gifts-arsenal-winner-in-pictures-1.1103833"> giving away the crucial penalty in Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal</a> at Old Trafford. Last season's winner of the most fouls award was Crystal Palace attacker Jordan Ayew who took the honours with 59, narrowly defeating the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Everton and Southampton's James Ward-Prowse, who finished just two behind.
