Arsenal teenager Bukayo Saka scored one goal and set up another to help clinch a 2-2 draw in the Europa League at Standard Liege on Thursday and secure their passage to the the next stage.

Arsenal came back from 2-0 down to draw and seal their spot in the last 32 as Group F winners after Alexandre Lacazette and Saka found the back of the net within a space of three minutes.

Arsenal had defeated Liege 4-0 in the first meeting between the two sides and with a place in the knockouts almost certain, caretaker manager Freddie Ljungberg made nine changes to his starting line-up.

The home side took the lead after half-time when a Samuel Bastien shot took a huge deflection which left Gunners goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez wrong-footed.

It got worse when Selim Amallah made it 2-0 off another deflection as Liege looked for the unlikely scoreline of 5-0 which would put them through.

But Lacazette calmed Arsenal's nerves after 78 minutes when he headed in a cross from Saka. Three minutes later, Saka leveled the score with a fine finish from the edge of the box.

However, it meant Arsenal had failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 13 matches across competitions, equaling their worst ever run under Arsene Wenger in 2004.
