Mason Mount scored the only goal of the game as Chelsea battled to a 1-0 Premier League win at 10-man Fulham on Saturday. After an alarming slump in form that has seen the Blues slip from top to mid-table, victory at local rivals Fulham was needed to ease the pressure on manager Frank Lampard. Following a goalless first half, during which Fulham grew into the game, Chelsea were handed a numerical advantage just before the interval when Antonee Robinson was given a straight red for a reckless, lunging tackle on Blues captain Cesar Azpilicueta. Having dominated possession with only a small sample of decent goalscoring chances, Chelsea finally found their breakthrough when Mount drove home in the 78th minute. The win, Chelsea's second in five matches, moves Lampard's side up to seventh in the standings, while defeat keeps 18th-placed Fulham four point from safety.
