LIVERPOOL RATINGS: Stood up tall and saved well from Mbuemo who was through on goal after half an hour that kept score at 0-0. Regulation tip over from Jenson free-kick at start of second half. So cool with ball at feet but must leave fans with hearts in mouths at times. AP

Brilliant passing, unconvincing defensively. Poor touch and then poor positioning led to Mbeumo missing two chances in first half. Lovely ball to Nunez ahead of opening goal, perfect cross to pick out Salah only for attacker to blaze over. AFP

Started at right wingback and made a few surging runs forward when opportunity arose but defensive duties meant those were few and far between. Picked up booking in first half for foul on Jota. Reuters

Unlikely match-winner against West Ham last week but nearly scored in own net when he deflected Nunez cross forcing Flekken to save in opening 10 minutes. Crucial sliding tackle to win ball ahead of Nunez when Liverpool striker would have been through just before break. AP

Had early chance to score but couldn’t get any power or direction on shot that bobbled wide. Closer with header late in second half that Alisson turned over bar for corner. AP

Back in starting XI and took painful blow on back of head as Pinnock powered through his teammate to win a towering header. Able to continue and made a number of important blocks and challenges against a dangerous Liverpool attack. AP

Mohamed Salah scored twice as Liverpool maintained their 100 per cent record at Anfield this season with a 3-0 victory over Brentford on Sunday, their sixth successive Premier League win at home.

Salah – who now has 200 goals in English football – became the first player in history to score in each of Liverpool's first six home league games of a season as Jurgen Klopp's side climbed over Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal into second in the table on 27 points after 12 games.

Darwin Nunez had two first-half efforts disallowed for offside as the sense of an impending goal grew. Talisman Salah finally broke the deadlock in the 39th minute after Trent Alexander-Arnold drilled a pass to Nunez who slipped it to Salah behind Brentford's defence for a left-footed finish into the far corner.

Salah, 31, headed in his second at the back post in the 62nd minute after Kostas Tsimikas slid to keep the ball in play on the byline. Diogo Jota scored in the 74th when he cut inside and bent the ball inside the far corner past keeper Mark Flekken.
