Takehiro Tomiyasu (Smith Rowe, 62) – 7, Made debut for Arsenal after seeing work permit approved on Thursday and looked a threat on the right side during the opening stages of the game. Getty Images -

Ben White – 7, Back in the starting eleven after missing the last two games from Covid and linked up with Tomiyasu well in the first half with some lovely passes. Made an important tackle on Pukki to stop the striker’s turn and run. Booked. Getty Images -

Gabriel – 7, Part of a much changed back four for Arsenal as he made his first appearance this season following a knee injury. Couldn’t direct a header goalwards early after the restart. Produced a important sliding tackle on Pukki in extra time. AFP -

Kieran Tierney – 7, The only member of the defence to survive from their thrashing against Manchester City and important in keeping Arsenal’s first clean sheet of the season. Also had moments on the attack down the left side. Getty Images -

Ainsley Maitland-Niles – 6, Has seen little game time this season but came in for his first start this season and was a centre piece of Arsenal’s play. EPA -

Albert Sambi Lokonga – 6, Back into the starting line-up against Norwich and included in parts of the action. Saw his first shot straight at Krul and his second shot was always going over. Subbed. Getty Images -

Nicolas Pepe – 8, Looked Arsenal’s most positive outlet throughout the game, making several runs at Tzolis and Williams but took a while to get the better of them. Assisted Aubameyang’s tap in. Could have gave Arsenal a second in extra time. Getty Images -

Bukayo Saka – 7, Came alive in the second half as he got the better of Max Aarons early into the second half to the roar of the home crowd. Played his part in the goal. Getty Images -

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 7, Finally scored his and his team’s first Premier League goal of the season with a simple tap in. Getty Images -

SUB: Thomas Partey (Lokonga, 62’) – 7, Caused Hanley to lose possession of the ball and position to prompt Arsenal’s goal. A welcome addition in Arsenal’s midfield. Booked. AP -

NORWICH RATINGS: Tim Krul – 7, Produced a great point-blank save in the 20th minute to keep Aubameyang’s effort out, followed by an important touch to deflect Takehiro Tomiyasu’s header over just before half time. Pushed a shot onto the post but couldn’t do anything to keep out Aumbeyang’s tap in. Reuters -

Max Aarons – 6, Had a crack at a few long-range shots and several runs on the right side but couldn’t make anything happen. Booked for a tug on Aubameyang just before half time. Getty Images -

Grant Hanley – 5, An experienced head amongst a young backline but was caught out by Partey for Arsenal’s opener and nearly caught out again after a pass from Omobamidele. Booked for foul on Aubameyang. Getty Images -

Andrew Omobamidele – 7, An impressive Premier League debut for the 19-year-old on the back of spending the international break with Ireland and looked comfortable defending against Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. EPA -

Brandon Williams – 7, Impressively managed Pepe, who looked Arsenal’s most lively outlet, on the left side and looked years beyond his age in maturity. Massive block to keep Pepe’s shot out just before the 60th minute. EPA -

Lukas Rupp – 6, Came in for Billy Gilmour when much was made of Mathias Normann as a replacement in that defensive midfielder role but saw plenty of the action to halt Arsenal’s attacks. Getty Images -

Pierre Lees Melou – 7, Been a regular in Norwich’s line-up this season and proved himself worthy of a starting place with some lovely play. Produced a lovely pass to Pukki just after the 30th minute mark. Getty Images -

Kenny McLean – 7, No surprise that Norwich grew into the game when the Scotsman started to see more of the ball and link up with Pukki first half. Always a centre piece of Norwich’s play in the middle. EPA -

Kieran Dowell – 6, Hasn’t seen a lot of game time since Norwich’s promotion but came in for Rashica and took a while to grow into the game but ultimately subbed after being unable to make anything happen. Getty Images -

Teemu Pukki – 6, Linked up with McLean several times and ran onto a promising ball early into the second half but was surrounded by red shirts to make anything happen as he looked to get his first goal this season from open play. Getty Images -

Christian Tzolis – 7, Premier League debut for the Greek and fans will be hoping to see many more. The 19-year-old had to wait his time to attack but looked happy to contribute to his team’s defending duties and pair with Williams on the left side. Subbed after Norwich conceded. EPA -

SUB: Todd Cantwell (Dowell, 62’) – 6, Like-for-like swap and had flurries on moments but couldn’t trouble Arsenal. Reuters -

SUB: Milot Rashica (Tzolis, 69’) – N/R, Couldn’t make an impact and was ultimately on the backfoot following Arsenal’s goal. EPA -
