Let us take a look at five highlights from Brazil's narrow 2-1 Copa America win over Peru on Sunday:
– Brazil get a chilling reminder of their World Cup nightmare in the third minute when David Luiz makes a disastrous pass back to goalkeeper Jefferson, who can barely clear the ball and Christian Cueva blasts the ball in for Peru.
– Just two minutes later, Dani Alves breaks on the right and puts over a pinpoint cross that finds Neymar unmarked eight metres out and the Brazil captain heads one of his easiest goals.
– Neymar wins a dangerous free kick but is booked for pushing aside the foam spray used by the referee to mark the spot where the kick should be taken. The Brazilian star keeps arguing even as the teams go off for half time.
– In the first real chance of the second half, Neymar curls a scorching 20 metre shot that thunders off the underside of the crossbar, and luckily for Peru, bounces away from the goal.
– Brazil have plenty of chances. Douglas Costa is put through by Neymar but tries to pass back to his captain instead of chipping over the goalkeeper. Two minutes into injury time, Neymar breaks down the left and passes across the penalty area to Costa, who shoots in to save his side. Brazil’s winning streak is extended to 11 games.
