Dubai dismissed their Swiss coach, Martin Rueda, despite the team’s battling 2-2 draw against Al Jazira in their last game in the Arabian Gulf League over the weekend.
The club management took into account the results of his 10 games in charge in all competitions, which read as four defeats in six league matches and one point from four in the League Cup.
The club are second from bottom in the league table, just above Al Shaab with four points, and have only managed to score four goals, conceding nine.
Rueda, who arrived in Dubai in the summer to replace the Frenchman Rene Marsiglia, becomes the fourth coaching casualty of the season after Jorge Fossati (Al Ain), Laurent Banide (Al Wasl) and Luis Milla (Jazira).
Dubai do not have any matches in this week’s League Cup, and they play Al Wasl next in the same competition on November 14.
