Drama is focused at the bottom of the Primera Liga table

Spain's Primera Liga champions and second place were a given long ago, with Barcelona and Real Madrid predictably finishing where they have finished every season for the past five years: first or second.

The gap to third has encouragingly narrowed to single digits, but the real drama as the season enters its 38th and final stage does not feature the big two. Every other game has something at stake on Saturday night.

No team has yet been relegated.

Three, from Real Mallorca, Real Zaragoza, Deportivo La Coruna and Celta Vigo, will go down.

It will not be a shock to their fans as the only surprise is that all four have hung on so long and still have a chance of staying up on the final day.

Deportivo have a point advantage on the rest, but they are at home to a Real Sociedad side who have everything to play for.

The atmosphere will be incredible in the Riazor, as it will be at the Son Moix in Mallorca.

The Islanders, in the top flight since 1997, entertain Valladolid, who are safe in 14th. Zaragoza host Atletico Madrid, who have had a fine season in which they have won two cups and qualified for the Uefa Champions League.

Celta Vigo are at home to Espanyol, who have little to play for.
