The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a melting pot of the most talented cricketers from across the globe. And after years of trial and error, franchises have realised that good cricketers can come from anywhere and be of any age.

Even so, it is astonishing to see many players near or above 40 years of age still delivering at the highest level in a format that was thought to be a young man's game. And it is equally surprising to see teenagers getting to rub shoulders – metaphorically in 2020 –  with the best in the business.
