Delhi Capitals’ pursuit of a playoff place will go down to the final game after they were trounced by nine wickets by table-toppers Mumbai Indians in Dubai. Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah took six wickets between them as Delhi were kept to 110-9 from their 20 overs, before Ishan Kishan, who hit 72 not out, made light work of the run-chase. The defending champions were already through to the knockout phase even before a ball was bowled, but Delhi are labouring to make it there with them. They looked to be all but there when they won seven of their first nine matches this season. Their form has faltered since, though, with four defeats in a row meaning they now have to win their final league match, against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday, if they are to advance.
