The first T20 between Australia and Sri Lanka turned out to be a no contest, with the hosts cruising to a 134-run win in Adelaide. Batting first, Australia blasted 233-2 from their 20 overs with opener David Warner scoring exactly 100 and Aaron Finch (64) and Glenn Maxwell (62) making fine contributions. While Warner was the star of the show with his unbeaten century of 56 balls, Maxwell played some eye-catching cricket as well during his 28-ball innings that included seven boundaries and three sixes. One shot in particular – off seamer Kasun Rajitha in the 18th over – stood out. Staying deep in his crease, Maxwell whipped a full length ball over the mid-wicket fence with a twirl of the wrists, reminiscent of the 'helicopter' shot made famous by India wicketkeeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni. While Maxwell's version was not as extravagant as that of Dhoni, it was not too far behind either. See the video below and decide. For the record, Sri Lanka could only manage 99-9 in reply. To rub salt into the wounds, Rajitha's figures of 0-75 from his four overs were the worst ever in T20 International history.
