Brazilians hope to leave Abu Dhabi on a high

Internacional of Brazil will try to salvage a victory before leaving Abu Dhabi when they play Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in the third-place game at 6pm tonight at Zayed Sports City. Internacional had hoped to become the first two-time winners of the tournament but lost 2-0 to TP Mazembe in the semi-final.

Blatter sitting on the fence

Sepp Blatter, the Fifa president, would not predict a winner of the championship match between Inter Milan and TP Mazembe, but he noted that the winning side last year, Barcelona, had a first XI who came mostly from Spain. Inter plays only a few Italians; Mazembe's first team are nearly all Congolese.

Eto'o an inspiration, says Kaluyituka

Samuel Eto'o, the Cameroonian who plays for Inter Milan, is a role model for African players, said the TP Mazembe striker Dioko Kaluyituka. "Eto'o is an example to all of us," Kaluyituka told fifa.com "He's managed to establish himself at the very highest level while never losing touch with his African roots."
