On Sunday, Manchester City staged one of the most memorable comebacks in history. At 2-1 down to QPR, it looked like they had surrendered the title to city rivals United. But two injury-time goals changed all that. Here are some other great fightbacks.
Manchester United v Bayern Munich, football (1999)
Sir Alex Ferguson's men trailed Bayern Munich 1-0 in second-half injury time before Teddy Sheringham scored in the 91st minute and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got the winner two minutes later to win the Uefa Champions League final 2-1.
New York Mets v Boston Red Sox, baseball (1986)
The Red Sox were a strike away from winning the World Series when Mookie Wilson's grounder somehow found a way between Bill Buckner's legs to score Ray Knight and complete the Mets' rally in the 10th inning of Game 6.
England v Australia, cricket (1981)
England were forced to follow on 227 runs behind and then fell to 105 for five. But Ian Botham's 149 not out set Australia a target of 130 to win. Bob Willis then took eight wickets as England triumphed by 18 runs and went on to win the Ashes.
Jack Nicklaus, The Masters, golf (1986)
At age 46, the "Golden Bear" was supposed to be washed up, yet he pulled off the most famous comeback in Augusta National history by shooting a 30 on the back nine for a 65 and a one-shot win in the Masters for his 18th, and final, major triumph.
France v New Zealand, rugby union (1999)
New Zealand, the overwhelming tournament favourites, led 24-10 in their Rugby World Cup semi-final but Christophe Lamaison sparked a France rally for a famous 43-31 victory.
