Arabian Gulf Cup matches postponed due to mourning period for killed servicemen

The Arabian Gulf Cup games scheduled for Saturday have been postponed indefinitely after the Government announced a three-day mourning period for 45 servicemen killed in Yemen on Friday.

Emirates were to host Al Dhafra, Al Wahda were set to travel to Dibba and Al Shaab due to meet Al Ahli.

The rescheduled date will be announced later, the Pro League Committee confirmed.

“The Pro League Committee has decided to postpone the second day of the second round of Arabian Gulf Cup matches,” the Arabian Gulf League’s official Twitter account stated.

“A new date will be determined at a later time.”

The press conference to announce the 2015/2016 Jiu-Jitsu calendar scheduled for Sunday at Emirates Palace has also been postponed.
