The teams have already met at Goodison Park this season in August, when a patient City triumphed 2-0 thanks to second-half goals from Aleksandar Kolarov and from Samir Nasri, left, to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
January 2015
City’s title hopes took a dent last season when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Everton. Fernaninho had opened the scoring with 16 minutes remaining, but the lead would only last for four minutes for City before Steven Naismith struck to restore parity between the sides.
May 2014
This game proved crucial to City winning the title in 2013/14. Things had got off to a bad start as Ross Barkley gave the hosts the lead, but City hit back through Sergio Aguero and an Edin Dzeko double. Though Romelu Lukaku pulled a goal back, City held on to prevail 3-2.
March 2013
City’s hopes of retaining their title under Roberto Mancini were already fading, but Everton added further misery as they claimed a deserved 2-0 success. Leon Osman opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, before Nikica Jelavic wrapped things up with a second in stoppage time.
January 2012
Though they would go on to win the 2011/12 championship, this was a low point for City in their campaign. They struggled to impose themselves on a resolute Everton, and it was the home side who claimed the three points with a 1-0 victory thanks to Darron Gibson’s 60th-minute winner.

Your rights as an employee
The government has taken an increasingly tough line against companies that fail to pay employees on time. Three years ago, the Cabinet passed a decree allowing the government to halt the granting of work permits to companies with wage backlogs.
The new measures passed by the Cabinet in 2016 were an update to the Wage Protection System, which is in place to track whether a company pays its employees on time or not.
If wages are 10 days late, the new measures kick in and the company is alerted it is in breach of labour rules. If wages remain unpaid for a total of 16 days, the authorities can cancel work permits, effectively shutting off operations. Fines of up to Dh5,000 per unpaid employee follow after 60 days.
Despite those measures, late payments remain an issue, particularly in the construction sector. Smaller contractors, such as electrical, plumbing and fit-out businesses, often blame the bigger companies that hire them for wages being late.
The authorities have urged employees to report their companies at the labour ministry or Tawafuq service centres — there are 15 in Abu Dhabi.

A semen analysis of the father showed abnormal sperm so the couple required IVF.
Out of 21 eggs collected, six were unused leaving 15 suitable for IVF.
A specific procedure was used, called intracytoplasmic sperm injection where a single sperm cell is inserted into the egg.
On day three of the process, 14 embryos were biopsied for gender selection.
The next day, a pre-implantation genetic report revealed four normal male embryos, three female and seven abnormal samples.
Day five of the treatment saw two male embryos transferred to the patient.
The woman recorded a positive pregnancy test two weeks later.

The more serious side of specialty coffee
While the taste of beans and freshness of roast is paramount to the specialty coffee scene, so is sustainability and workers’ rights.
The bulk of genuine specialty coffee companies aim to improve on these elements in every stage of production via direct relationships with farmers. For instance, Mokha 1450 on Al Wasl Road strives to work predominantly with women-owned and -operated coffee organisations, including female farmers in the Sabree mountains of Yemen.
