Despite market volatility caused by the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, it seems that many sovereign wealth funds learnt the lesson of the last financial crisis and were nimble enough and cash-heavy enough to seize opportunities. She says sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East intend to use their cash reserves to take advantage of buying opportunities, as asset valuations fall due to market turmoil.
