When the UAE Space Agency hosts the first Global Space Congress in Abu Dhabi next year, it will bring together the brightest minds in the space and aviation industries. Who knows what possibilities will be born from serendipitous meetings at the meeting?
Consider Masdar City. Not only does it host the International Renewable Energy Agency headquarters, but when complete it will be one of the world’s greenest cities. When Masdar opened 10 years ago, who could have predicted that a decade later Solar Impulse 2 would leave Abu Dhabi and circumnavigate the globe using only solar power? This is an example of yet-unimagined possibilities and there is every reason to believe that the space congress will help prompt similar discoveries and projects that will challenge our notions of space exploration and the world as a whole.
