Recent gossip swirling around the entertainment industry resolved itself this week

Depending on how you look at it, the past week was either a great one for the entertainment industry or something of a tragedy. On Wednesday, Jeremy Clarkson was dropped from Top Gear and Zayn Malik announced his departure from the hit band One Direction. Closer to home, Robbie Williams announced a late date change for his forthcoming appearance in Abu Dhabi, creating headaches for his fans from around the region who may have already sorted out their travel plans for the concert.

Malik’s departure is perhaps more fascinating and far less expected than Clarkson’s. The 22-year old singer stated that he wants to have a more ordinary twentysomething life. The funny thing is that most 22-year olds want exactly the life Malik has been living. The carpet is always greener in someone else’s dressing room.
