I write to you in reference to your article India captain Virat Kohli slams 'ridiculous' reports of rift with Rohit Sharma (July 30).
This sports article has done a great job clarifying the nature of the rift between India’s captain Virat Kohli and the team’s opening batsmen Rohit Sharma.
After India’s cricket team lost the World Cup semifinal, there was a lot of speculation in the media about a dispute between the two players. But this does not necessarily mean the rumours are true.
The players have an understanding, they share a common goal and a good team spirit. Now that these rumours have been dispelled, I hope they will both deliver a good performance at the coming West Indies tour.

I write to you in reference to Patrick Ryan's article New Dubai-Sharjah ferry proves a hit with passengers (July 28).
I would love to see the creation of a trans-emirates train that would connect all seven emirates. When this day comes, I will sell the car and travel by train only.

UAE should replicate Ethiopia tree planting initiative
I write to you in reference to your article Ethiopia's 353 million tree planting bid beats one-day world record (July 30).
We should replicate this initiative in the UAE. Of course, it will be challenging to plant trees in a desert region, but if we use the right soil and tree varieties, this could truly work.
