Fire crews have battled a blaze near a marine petrol station on Dubai Harbour. The blaze broke out shortly before noon on Sunday. At 12.24pm the fire was brought under control and cooling operations were underway, authorities said. “The fire was in a boat near a fuel station,” a spokesperson from Dubai Civil Defence said. “No injured were reported and the site was handed over to the relevant authorities to determine the reason behind the fire.” The fire occurred on a boat docked at a petrol station used to fill vessels. Dubai Civil Defence was seen using a fire boat to tackle the flames. Plumes of smoke were seen from across the harbour. The location is close to the cruise ship terminal and on a busy waterway used by yachts and pleasure boats.
