Women are invited to join the Sharjah Ladies Run next month and work towards improving their health and fitness.
Organised by the Sharjah Ladies Club, the “neon night run” will be raced over 5- and 10-kilometre distances on February 24.
In the lead-up to the event, the club has organised a training programme for participants, which will include 3- to 9km runs, stretching and strength workouts, cross-training and endurance routines. The training sessions will be conducted every day except Friday.
The race will be held at Sharjah University City from 6pm to 9pm and is open to women and girls over 12 years. The 5km run costs Dh100 to enter, while the 10km race is Dh160. Participants can register online at www.slc.ae/register-in-sharjah-ladies-run/.
