WATCH: A plane full of England football fans erupts with joy

Football fans who need to take to the skies are in for a treat as many major airlines are screening the matches live on board: and a video from an Emirates flight showing the cabin erupting as England triumphed against Colombia is now going viral.

Laddawan Cherry Kateanan uploaded a video on July 4 from the flight, which has now been viewed over two million times. The 30-second clip shows fans of the Three Lions cheering and clapping in jubilation after England midfielder Eric Dier scores the game-winning penalty kick to send the team to the quarter-finals.

The match saw a tense battle between the two sides as England took the early lead only to see Colombia tie it up during injury time. Luckily for fans of the British squad, they were able to see their team victorious after surviving penalty kicks.

This is just the second time in FIFA’s history that passengers travelling on-board are able to watch the matches live.

Other than Emirates and Etihad, the other airlines showing matches on channel Sport 24 include:

Aero Mexico

Air Italy

American Airlines

ANA

Garuda Indonesia

Hong Kong Airlines

Lufthansa

Qatar Airways

Thai

Turkish Airlines

WestJet
