Ski Dubai has been named world’s best indoor ski resort at the World Ski Awards, for the fifth consecutive year. Launched in 2013, the awards programme recognises excellence in the ski tourism industry, across a range of categories. Ski Dubai was shortlisted alongside eight internationally recognised indoor ski resorts in Egypt, Germany, China, Spain, Scotland, New Zealand and The Netherlands, and received the highest number of votes from ski industry professionals and consumers. "Despite the unprecedented challenges faced by the global tourism sector this year, Ski Dubai has demonstrated unrivalled resilience, enabling it to continue providing its visitors with a world-class ski experience in a responsible and safe manner," said Sion Rapson, managing director of the World Ski Awards. “I am delighted that it has been acknowledged by both the ski industry and the public." Majid Al Futtaim launched the Middle East’s first indoor ski resort exactly 15 years ago and its has since welcomed more than 11 million tourists, snow sports enthusiasts and guests from around the world. The facility has also established itself as a hub for international competitions, having hosted events such as the UAE National Ski and Snowboard Championships, The World Cup and the Para Snowboard World Cup.
