Kerzner International Holdings, the parent company of the world-famous Atlantis and ultra-luxe One&Only Resorts, is adding a new sports-centric hotel brand to its portfolio. Billed as a new hospitality experience, Siro – pronounced sy-row – is a hotel brand which places physical and mental well-being at its core. The first Siro hotel is set to open in Montenegro in 2023. An acronym of strength, inclusive, reflection and original – the new brand's values – Siro plans to partner with sports personalities and athlete ambassadors around the world. Named Team Siro, it will be formed by a group of athletes playing an advisory role for the hotel as it develops its wellness elements. Olympic gold medallist swimmer Adam Peaty, who is a favourite to win another gold for Team Great Britain in Tokyo this year, is the first recruit for the team. “It has been fascinating to learn about the ambitions of Siro, an exciting new experience that seems to be missing in the space. And for me to be asked to play a part in the development of these new hotel destinations is a privilege," said Peaty. Siro Boka Place in Montenegro will be the hotel brand's first property and will open with a team of in-house specialists, including trainers, coaches, nutritionists and technicians. Centred around a cutting-edge fitness club spanning 930-square-metres, the hotel will have a fully-equipped gymnasium, yoga and meditation spaces, a swimming pool and a huge range of fitness classes, with everything from spinning to parkour on offer. To aid guests' performance, the hotel will have a Recovery Lab where visitors can pick from a selection of health spa services including sports massage, cryotherapy and sports rehabilitation sessions. Rooms at Siro Boka Place look set to be minimalist, with an industrial-inspired design – think exposed concrete floors and open shelving. Each room comes with everything guests need to concentrate on their fitness in-suite, including punch bags, yoga balls and dumbbells. Travellers can also head out on one of several sailing circuits in the surrounding Adriatic Sea or tackle cycling tracks of various length and altitudes through the nearby mountains. Located in Tivat, Boka Place is a new-build, multi-use neighbourhood in Montenegro. Overlooking the Bay of Kotor, it will be home to residential properties, hotels and entertainment options. As well as having its own marina, visitors and residents of Boka Place can also enjoy several restaurants, shops, entertainment galleries, cinemas and an indoor climbing wall. Siro Boka Place will be in good company when its opening date rolls around. Its sister hotel the One&Only Portonovi is set to open in May this year, and will be located just five kilometres away.
