Beachside lounging and a sea-facing pool await, as well as nautical-themed decor

If you’re searching for a bargain beachfront staycation in Dubai, the newly opened Rove La Mer Beach is worth considering.

Located in Jumeirah's La Mer neighbourhood, this Rove property has a sea-facing pool, an outdoor terrace and direct access to one of Dubai's most popular beaches.

Inside, the hotel epitomises its seaside location with giant fish murals, retro surfboard decals, coloured beach-chic furniture and quirky nautical accessories.

Rooms come with either city skyline views or ocean vistas, and each has its own balcony. There are also sofa beds for extra guests, and plenty of interconnecting rooms available for groups of families or friends.

There’s a 24-hour gymnasium and, in keeping with Rove’s budget-conscious offerings, a self-service laundromat and luggage storage facilities.

“Rove La Mer Beach is Rove Hotels’ first beachfront hotel and an exciting step in the brand’s journey. By bringing fun, affordable and fuss-free hospitality to La Mer, Rove aims to redefine people’s expectations of what a beachfront hotel is supposed to be and make them accessible to a wider range of travellers,” says Paul Bridger of Rove Hotels.

When it comes to eating, travellers can pick from the all-day dining restaurant The Daily, or head to the Beach Bar and the Drink Truck for light bites and sundowners. There’s also more than 50 restaurants and bars within easy walking distance around the neighbourhood.

Rove La Mer Beach gives guests easy access to Laguna Waterpark, Roxy Cinemas, inflatable playgrounds and trampoline parks, an outdoor gymnasium and plenty of watersports including kayaks and jet skis.

For anyone working remotely, freelancing or craving a change of workday scenery, Dubai’s first-ever co-working space on the beach is also set to open next year at Rove La Mer Beach.

Part of the Letswork network, members and hotel guests will be able to work under the sun while enjoying Wi-Fi, plenty of comfortable seating, refreshments and sea breeze.

Bargain hotel rates on the beach

The hotel is a good pick for tourists, thanks to its central location. It's a 10-minute drive from Downtown Dubai, Dubai Opera and the Burj Khalifa, and just 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport. Jumeirah’s historic neighbourhoods are also easily explored using the hotel as a base.

To celebrate its opening, there's a special offer running until the end of January that includes an overnight stay in a sea-view room with late checkout from Dh299 per night, plus taxes. Guests will also get 30 per cent off food and drink.
