Etihad Airways has unveiled a new safety video, filmed on location at Louvre Abu Dhabi. Offering a snapshot of the attractions that the capital has to offer, the three-and-a-half-minute video shows cabin crew imparting safety advice under the Louvre’s famed latticed dome, or walking along the museum's striking waterways. The video takes into account the Covid-19 safety measures currently in place on all Etihad flights, showing some passengers wearing face masks. It was also filmed following strict coronavirus safety protocols, according to the airline. “Our safety video needed a refresh including the safety messaging requirements due to Covid. This new video goes beyond its main purpose of educating guests about essential safety information, it also reflects our brand and personality, while leveraging the very best of our beautiful home, Abu Dhabi,” says Terry Daly, Etihad’s executive director of guest experience brand and marketing. Emirati voice-over artists provide the words for the video, which is in both English and Arabic. The accompanying music is part of Etihad’s new signature sound collection, which is used across a range of the airline’s touch points. It reflects a mix of Emirati and international instrumentation and arrangements, played by musicians from the UAE and around the world. The new safety video will be progressively rolled out across the airline’s fleet, starting with the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners in April.
