If the Indian subcontinent has been on your travel radar, now could be a good time to make plans as Jet Airways has announced a huge sale with tickets reduced by 50 per cent. Running until Wednesday, January 30, discounted fares are available for travel from Abu Dhabi and Dubai to destinations across Asia. Book tickets to Mumbai, Delhi or Kolkata, or perhaps plan a visit to the pink city of Jaipur or the cultural capital of Pune? And if India isn’t on your visit list, you can still get a bargain as flights to Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Nepal are also on sale. Travellers can get a one-way economy ticket for travel in March from Dubai to Mumbai for just Dh395. Abu Dhabi-based passengers could bag a ticket to Sri Lanka for just Dh584. The sale is also applicable on premiere tickets, the airline's business-class equivalent. Travel for all sale tickets must take place on or after January 24 and tickets must be booked a set number of days before travel, which differs depending on route and class of travel. As part of the promotion, which marks India's 70th Republic day, passengers can also purchase cut-price baggage. Select journeys with codeshare partners are also included in the sale. Etihad Airways owns a 24 per cent stake in the company and European carriers KLM and Air France also have partner links.
