Four new hotels in Asia-Pacific

Two major hotel brands, Hyatt and Rosewood, have expanded into Asia for the first time, choosing Singapore and Thailand as luxury bases.

Sky-high Andaz hotel for Singapore

Hyatt has opened the first Andaz hotel in Asia in central Singapore. The Andaz Singapore is on Fraser Street, close to Kampong Glam, the Malay Heritage Centre and Marina Bay. The hotel has 342 rooms from level 26 and up of the new Duo skyscrapers and features a rooftop pool, several restaurants and a 24-hour fitness centre. Rooms cost from S$435 (Dh1,188) per night including taxes.

Rosewood Phuket opens in Thailand

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in South East Asia. The Rosewood Phuket is on 43 acres of land in the south-west of the island, with a 600-metre-long private beach. There are 71 pool pavilions and villas, several restaurants and a large spa. Rooms cost from Thb32,286 (Dh3,640) per night including taxes.

Avani Auckland apartments in New Zealand capital

Avani Hotels & Resorts has opened a ­luxury ­retreat in central Auckland, built partly in a historic building. Avani Metropolis Auckland Residences has 65 one- and two-bedroom apartments with kitchens, dining rooms, lounges and laundry facilities. There is a fitness centre and heated ­indoor swimming pool. Until January 31, there is an opening discount on bookings of more than two nights; one-bedroom suites cost from A$160 (Dh446) per night including taxes.

Aloft Jakarta Wahid Haysim opens in Indonesian capital

Marriott International has opened its first Aloft property in Indonesia with the Aloft Jakarta Wahid Haysim. The centrally located hotel has 180 rooms and a pool, gym, restaurant and café. There is an opening offer on rooms, from Idr966,790 (Dh263) per night including taxes and breakfast.
