Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will commence flights to Alexandria, Egypt on February 22, with fares starting from Dh179 for a one-way ticket. The UAE and Egypt provide a popular travel corridor for residents and tourists in the region, and we are committed to providing options that are more viable and affordable for travellers,” said Kees van Schaick, managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. "Alexandria is the second-largest city in Egypt and a major economic hub for both tourism and industry. The city extends 40 km along the northern coast of Egypt situated by the Mediterranean Sea. The destination is well-known for its antiquity as the site of the Pharos, the great lighthouse, considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, as well as the ruins of the Temple of Serapis." Wizz Air Abu Dhabi operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, including four new Airbus A321neo aircraft, which it claims have “the lowest fuel burn and noise footprint”. All passengers travelling to Alexandria, including Egyptian nationals, will need to carry a printed negative Covid‑19 PCR test certificate from an accredited lab in English or Arabic, for a test taken within 72 hours before the departure of their flight to Egypt.
