First look: Aloft opens first hotel in Dubai

Aloft Hotel group made its debut in Dubai today (January 21), taking up residence on the Palm Jumeirah.

The 206-room Aloft Palm Jumeirah is located on the eastern crescent and is the first of a collection of new properties slated for the emirate over the coming months - Aloft Me'aisam is expected to open on February 1, while the City Centre Deira and Dubai South properties are scheduled for openings in April and August respectively.

“In the UAE alone, the brand will double its portfolio in the next three years with five new openings,” says Max Wiegerinck, Aloft Palm Jumeirah’s General Manager.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the opening of our first Aloft in Dubai, situated on one of the world’s most sought-after destinations – the Palm Jumeirah,” adds Alex Kyriakidis, President and Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International.

Aloft Palm Jumeirah has seven restaurants and bars, a 24-hour Re:charge fitness centre, Splash infinity pool, ocean views, beach access, Camp Aloft facilities (inflatable bed options) and a business centre.
