Hatta's appeal to adventure travellers just ramped up another notch, as a new attraction has just opened. It's a 200-metre zorbing track that's well worth the 90-minute drive from Dubai. Gogravity, the company behind it all, is touting the attraction as the first and only outdoor zorbing track in the Middle East. What on Earth is zorbing, you ask? Well, it's a sport that requires participants to roll down hills in giant transparent orbs. It looks like this: The new track is open to adults and children daily from 9am to 6.30pm, and is part of the new Hatta Wadi Hub, which also offers a bunch of other fun, adventurous activities for staycationers and travellers. These include archery, rope courses, axe throwing, zip lines, mountain biking and downhill carting. You can even get slung out of a human sling shot. The accompanying Hatta Drop-in has been dubbed Asia's first water-jump park and it houses a variety of slides and jumps, as well as doughnut rides. The area has seen a lot of new development over the past year, making trips to Hatta all the more worthwhile. On top of all these adventure sports, you'll also find luxury lodges, heritage sites and hiking trails.
