It may be the so-called quiet season here in the UAE, as families look for indoor fun with temperatures sweltering, but there is still plenty on the cards to keep residents and visitors busy this week. While a unique meditation experience is taking place in Dubai, Louvre Abu Dhabi is inviting people to take part in its newly launched treasure hunt. Here, The National rounds up seven things to do around the Emirates from Monday to Sunday. Popular chain Wingstop is offering classic chicken wings free of charge this Monday. Head to any of its branches (with the exception of IMG Worlds of Adventure) and order either an eight-piece combo or a 10-piece platter to avail of the offer. Dubbed 9D meditation, the session features multi-dimensional healing exercises enabled by technology. A 360 set-up will utilise neuro-sounds (sounds and frequencies thought to have therapeutic or healing properties due to their influence on brainwaves), breath work and visualisations, which are said to allow participants to access deep thoughts and release emotional blockages. Meditators are encouraged to bring their own mats, as well as a hoodie and socks as body temperatures may drop during the session. The two-hour session is facilitated by certified 9D breathwork facilitator Nassima Aboufarid, as well as well-being expert Fatima Assad and sound healer Eddy Sarkis. July 31; 8pm; Dh391; Souk Madinat Jumeirah; fareharbor.com Take the family to the Louvre Abu Dhabi and test out the museum's new immersive game, The Secret of the Dome Stars. The web-based game, accessible via a link or a QR code at the museum, takes players on a treasure hunt across the venue, weaving in some fun storytelling.
