Knee-to-tricep move
Derryn Brown, a personal trainer at The Hundred Pilates Studio in Dubai, demonstrates the third exercise in our eight-part weekly series of workouts. Do this move alone or incorporate it into your own fitness routine. Go to www.thenational.ae/moveoftheweek, where we collect the workouts and post video demonstrations.
1. Start in a classic plank position, feet together, palms flat and shoulder width apart.
2. Bring the knee of the right leg up to touch the right elbow, brushing the tricep.
3. Return to a plank position, repeat with the left leg. Continue to alternate five times on each side.
Tips/things to remember:
Keep your core contracted and don't forget to take big deep breaths as you restraighten the legs.
