The Electric Vehicle Road Trip Middle East powers up for January

Tickets are now on sale for the event, which follows the inaugural Emirates EVRT earlier this year

After the success of the inaugural Emirates Electric Vehicle Road Trip (EVRT) earlier this year, the event returns in expanded form for its second running in January.

Now branded as Electric Vehicle Road Trip Middle East, the event boasts an itinerary that will also take in several days in Oman.

And fans of green motoring can put their money where their mouth is – tickets for the road trip, which runs from January 18 to 26, are now on sale.

Early-bird tickets, which cost Dh8,000 for the full trip or Dh4,000 for a “stage” (either the first or second half of the trip), are available until November 30.

The event kicks off at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi and finishes at Dubai’s Sustainable City.

The National took part in the first road trip, which featured cars such as the Tesla Model S and Model X and the Renault Zoe, with participants including Red Dwarf actor Robert Llewellyn.
