Fans of modified off-roaders will be pleased to hear Jaguar Land Rover has just added a manufacturer of all-terrain vehicles to its roster of companies.
Bowler is a UK-based firm that has been creating cars suited to tackling the world’s toughest mud and sand dunes since 1985. It pioneered the production of off-road competition models and has achieved success in the most demanding international rally events.
The company has geared many of its products for use in the Middle East, creating a mode of customisation it called Gulf Spec.
Since its inception, Bowler has had a close affiliation with Land Rover, which was formalised with a brand partnership in 2012.
This led to the creation of the popular Defender Challenge by Bowler rally series in 2014-2016.
One of Bowler’s most iconic creations is the Wildcat, a vehicle created from Land Rover components that took part in the Dakar Rally and Rallye des Pharaohs. Proof enough that sand alone is never going to be an obstacle and you'll be in good hands if you opt to take on Liwa's dunes in one of these hardy creations.
