Italian car maker Pagani launches Huayra supercar in region at Yas Marina Circuit

ABU DHABI // Famous Italian car maker Pagani Automobili launched its Huayra hypercar in the Middle East at an event at Yas Marina Circuit on Friday.

The car has a top speed of 370kph, can hit 100kph in just 3.3 seconds and has already won a plethora of awards.

It was designed by renowned Argentinian company founder Horacio Pagani, who jetted into Abu Dhabi for the launch.

“The Middle East has always been a key market for us, where our legend enjoys a tremendous fan following,” he said.

“With the Pagani Huayra, we have developed a high-performance supercar to the toughest safety requirements and to cater to a global audience.”

Montaser Al Kuzbari, the chairman of Aladiyaat Group, which is the UAE dealer of Pagani, said: “With the UAE’s booming car sales market and fast-growing pool of ultra-high-net-worth individuals, it is only opportune to host a prestigious international brand like Pagani.”

Built in Modena, Italy, the two-door supercar is powered by a bespoke Mercedes AMG 6.0-litre V12 twin-turbo engine and costs just under Dh5 million.
