Many offices in Dubai have reopened but are limited to a 30 per cent occupancy. That means working from home is still a reality for many, for at least a while longer. But for those who are finding it distracting or suffocating to work from home, Rove Hotels has teamed up with the Letswork app to offer people day passes to use a hotel room as an office for the day. The single-occupancy rooms cost Dh103.42 (inclusive of taxes and fees), and rooms at Rove Dubai Marina and Rove Healthcare City are available to book, with access between 6am and 10pm. Beds have been removed, so there should be no napping distractions. “With people working and connecting differently, we are excited to welcome guests that are looking for a private workspace for the day. We hope this will assist in helping individuals and companies in Dubai continue to work productively while following the current best practices set out by the government,” said Paul Bridger, corporate director of operations at Rove Hotels. Passes can be bought through the Letswork app. Once at the hotel, guests will be required to check-in via the app and present their IDs at the hotel’s front desk for verification and their room key. Office perks apply too, as throughout the day, guests will have access to unlimited tea, water and coffee, as well as room amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi and a comfy sofa to take a break when needed. You can also upgrade to a Dh35 meal package, which includes breakfast, lunch, iftar or dinner. "Working from home has been a massive adjustment for many of us, with space and total silence suddenly becoming a luxury," says Hamza Khan, co-founder of Letswork. "While restrictions on public movement have been eased, a 30 per cent limitation on office occupancy remains. We thought this would be a great solution for those looking for a productive workspace outside their home or office while still staying committed to social distancing guidelines." The Rove private rooms are paid for every use. Letswork also offers memberships from Dh39 for a single day, Dh209 for a week, Dh490 for a month, Dh1,299 for a quarter – private rooms at Rove Hotels are not included in these memberships.
