Carpenters Workshop Gallery

The Carpenters Workshop Gallery was launched in 2004 by the Parisian duo Loic Le Gaillard and Julien Lombrail.

The gallery exhibits unique and limited-edition pieces by both established and emerging artists and designers. The gallery began life in a former carpenter's workshop in Chelsea, and a second London gallery opened in Mayfair in 2008. This was followed by the opening of a gallery in Paris in 2011.

R20th Century, New York

New York's R20th Century design gallery represents a distinguished group of historical as well as contemporary designers. The gallery was founded in 1997 by Zesty Meyers and Evan Snyderman, who were united in their desire to promote "a closer study, appreciation and preservation of 20th and 21st century design". The duo's groundbreaking exhibitions have earned them international acclaim.

Galerie Downtown François Laffanour

The Parisian Galerie Downtown François Laffanour has spent the past 25 years working with major designers such as Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouvé, George Nakashima and Carlo Mollino.

The gallery focuses predominantly on vintage design, and during Design Days Dubai will be showcasing a daybed, desk and armchair by Jean Prouvé, tables and bookshelves by Charlotte Perriand and a teak desk and armchair by Pierre Jeanneret.

Other notables

If you're on the lookout for emerging designers, Hage recommends Beirut's SMO and Carwan galleries, which represent the likes of Karim Chaya, Ziad Antar, Nada Debs and Nathalie Khayat.

Also worth a look are Karen Chekerdjian from Milan's Nilufar Gallery, and the designers from Sao Paulo's Coletivo Amor de Madre and Seoul's Croft Gallery.
