You can now shop at Waitrose online in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

Waitrose has launched an online shop in the UAE, allowing customers to order groceries from the British supermarket straight to their door.

The online store will offer more than 15,000 items that can be delivered to homes, including fresh meat and fish, produce, bakery items and deli goods.

There will also be plenty of cupboard staples available from the grocery aisles, as well as toiletries and household goods.

The online site, which launched this week, is the first of its kind outside the UK. As well as allowing customers to shop for products, it will offer regular recipe suggestions, as well as an inspiration section featuring everything from tips on how to present food to how to mix sweet and savoury flavours.

The supermarket will offer 2,800 delivery spaces across Dubai and Abu Dhabi each week. There are three time slots available a day, and you'll need to book yours at least two hours in advance.

Delivery is free for orders over Dh350, otherwise, it’s Dh15, and there is a minimum spend of Dh100 to use the service.

The supermarket will also be launching a mobile app for online shopping in the coming weeks.
