Throughout May, Restaurant Month at The Galleria offers specially-priced menus, cookery classes and more



Food-lovers in the capital can fill their bellies during unique dining experiences throughout Restaurant Month at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island. The mall’s food festival will highlight special deals at a variety of restaurants through May 31.

Highlights include:

Bentley Bistro & Bar is serving a signature sharing menu for two, starting at lunchtime every day. The sharing menu includes their hard-to-resist, succulent venison steak as well as a Nutella chocolate fondue. The two-person sharing menu costs Dh260 per person. The restaurant also has a dessert platter for two for Dh70.

The Emirati-owned, home-grown cafe Gossip Cafe and Desserts will feature “The Ultimate Dessert” for Dh100, a unique creation by the cafe’s founder Shayma Fawwaz.

Nolu’s Downtown — an Afghan/American fusion restaurant — is offering a special three-course meal all month long for just Dh99. Choices for mains include an Afghan kebab, one of Nolu’s famous burgers or pasta.

The North African restaurant Almaz by Momo has a special three-course menu throughout the month. One of the dishes available? Camel tagine with vegetables and rice. The meal ends with the restaurant’s gaunaja and cinnamon ice-cream treat. Dh110 per person.

Emporio Armani Cafe features a specially designed menu that includes linguine with lobster and a mixed seafood and cherry tomato sauce for the mains. Desserts include chocolate fondant and pistachio ice cream. The special menu is Dh165 per person.

Another Italian restaurant, Carluccio’s, is serving a two-course menu for only Dh79 and a three-course menu for Dh99 throughout the month.

Magnolia Bakery also has a set menu that features a sandwich, salad or pasta along with a soft drink and cupcake for Dh59.

Sushi Art, a restaurant that fuses Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine, is offering a “Sushi Art Around the World” menu throughout the month. Designed for two people, the menu includes a range of signature rolls such as the Tuscan spring roll, sea bream ceviche and volcano sushi. Dh250.

Royal Orchid’s promotion for the month features a dedicated dim sum festival menu — with 18 varieties of dim sum — stating at Dh25.

For a special evening out, head to Spice Mela, the upscale Indian restaurant inside the Rosewood Abu Dhabi. To celebrate Restaurant Month, chef Siddharth Krishna is serving a unique menu called Kings and Queens Part III. The menu features smoked lamb with candied garlic; braised chicken with white spices and strained yogurt; and crispy Indian pancakes served with a caramel and saffron infusion. Culinary classes available throughout May:

• May 14 and 15: Culinary crafting for kids, 10am to 10pm at Caboodle, complimentary with purchase of one hour of play.

• May 15: Free Dim Sum cooking class for adults, 4pm at Royal Orchid

• May 22: Free biscuit decorating class for kids, 4pm at Carluccio’s

• May 29: Free pizza-making class for kids, 4pm at Carluccio’s
