The art of food at The Oberoi, Dubai

Love food? Love art? Get both all month long during The Art of Food promotion at Ananta, the upscale Indian restaurant in The Oberoi, Dubai. The hotel has partnered with XVA Gallery to take diners on a multi-sensory journey through art and food.

XVA specialises in contemporary art from the Arab world, Iran and the Subcontinent. Works from artists around the world will be showcased at the restaurant throughout October. Ananta chefs will create innovative, artistically styled food, taking inspiration from the shapes, colours and textures on display in the surrounding artwork.

The chefs’ works of art will include dishes such as masala foie gras wrapped in banana leaves, recheado spiced scallops with mango and coriander ceviche and pepper fried tiger prawns with fennel and spinach salad.

• Guests can dine à la carte or opt for a three-course set menu for Dh350 per person. Ananta is open daily from 7pm to 11:30pm and for lunch on Fridays from 12:30 to 3pm. For reservations, call 04 444 1407.
