More than 15,000 foodies are expected to descend on Yas Island for the second edition of Taste of Abu Dhabi, which will take place over three days at Du Arena, November 5-7.
Eric Lanlard, Valentine Warner and Suzanne Husseini are among the celebrity chefs who will be in town, to serve up live cooking demonstrations and more.
Bigger and better, a total of eight new restaurants have also been brought in since 2014’s inaugural event. These include Royal Orchid, Zambar, Teatro, Prego’s and BOA Steakhouse. Last year the festival served food from 20 diverse restaurants on the capital’s dining scene.
Extra entertainment has been promised for 2015, with live music from the UK’s Leading Light Projections, local favourites The Maplejacks, and last year’s headliners 4 the Music.
The new edition will also include a new VIP family lounge, offering complimentary Arabic tea, coffee and dates, as well as an on-hand henna artist.
Abu Dhabi is the 20th destination to host the global Taste festival, which is organised by Turret Media, and sees leading restaurants serving up small taster dishes to food lovers, alongside other culinary exhibits and attractions.
Taste of Dubai hosted an eighth edition in March.
Tickets details are yet to be revealed. Last year advance tickets cost Dh65 per day.
