American rapper Snoop Dogg announced on August 23 that he will publish his first cookbook through Chronicle Books on October 23. <em>From Crook to Cook </em>will include 50 of Snoop's favourite recipes - or, as he terms them: "snacks to satisfy those munchies" - including baked mac and cheese, chicken and waffles, soft-flour tacos, chicken Caesar salad and baby back ribs as well as fine-dining options such as lobster thermidor and filet mignon. The dishes will be divided into meals and occasions, and Snoop's publisher said it's "full of his iconic creativity". "You know it’s blazin’ up in my kitchen. I’m takin’ the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favourite recipes, ya dig?” was how the rapper announced the project in a statement. This is not the first time Snoop has expressed an interest in the culinary arts; in 2008, he guest-starred on Martha Stewart's show, while the two currently co-star in a cooking-competition-themed show, <em>Martha and Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party</em>.
