New Year's Eve at KFC: What’s on the Dh1,000 menu at The Dubai Mall fast-food restaurant?

As New Year's Eve approaches, restaurants around the UAE have been sharing dining packages for those wanting to end the year with a bang.

And fast-food franchises are not exempt, with one particular brand promising to see off the year in a "finger-lickin' good" fashion.

This week, the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) branch located on the ground floor of Fashion Avenue, The Dubai Mall, announced a New Year's Eve package priced at Dh1,000 for a seat on the promenade.

If you're wondering what is included in the New Year's Eve menu, it's definitely more than your average meal deal.

Each guest will be served five chicken strips, a large popcorn chicken, Rizo (chicken pieces over rice), a Twister sandwich, Zinger sandwich and three pieces of chicken. There will also be free-flowing ice tea, chocolate cake and cheesecake.

At Dh1,000 per head, this is isn't the value meal that the brand is so well-known for. However, it does come with a seat on The Dubai Mall promenade, which offers diners coveted views of the Burj Khalifa fireworks and The Dubai Fountain.

Other restaurants located in the same area have similarly priced offerings. Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons, for example, is charging Dh2,500 for a seat with a view at The Dubai Mall branch.

Meanwhile, Pizza Hut, located next to KFC Dubai Mall, is also charging Dh1,000 for outdoor fountain-view seating on New Year's Eve. Its set menu includes two medium pizzas (any toppings, any crust), one pasta, two sides (choose between wedges, wings, barbecue rolls and garlic bread supreme), one special drink, unlimited soft drinks and water, the salad bar and chocolate cake.
