Monaco’s Sass Cafe to open in Dubai

The glamour of Monte Carlo arrives in Dubai next week as Sass Cafe open its doors to the public on March 19 at DIFC. The restaurateur Salvador “Sassa” Treves and his son Samy Sass have teamed up with the hospitality group Bulldozer for their first venture outside of Monaco.

The Monte Carlo venue has been attracting a well-heeled, celebrity clientele for 20 years and visitors to the Dubai location at DIFC can expect a similarly exclusive, chic environment with a menu that evokes the south of France. Feast on dishes such as carpaccio de loup de mer et vinaigrette truffes (sea bass carpaccio with truffle vinaigrette) and the famous signature dish filet de boeuf a la Sassa, (Sassa beef fillet with smoked garlic and tomato relish).

Aside from the fine-dining restaurant, there is also a piano bar which will feature a variety of artists flown in from Monaco and a terrace with fabulous views of the Burj Khalifa.

Evgeny Kuzin, a partner at Bulldozer Group, said: “We are very excited to be opening the first overseas Sass cafe location here in the UAE. With the success of the Sass cafe brand in Monaco and the jet-setting crowd of Dubai, we have no doubt that expansion into the region will be highly successful and prove popular.”

Sass Cafe at Al Fattan Currency House, DIFC, Dubai, will be open seven days a week. Lunch is served from 12pm until 3.30pm, dinner from 7pm to 12am and the lounge bar is open until 2am. For reservations, call 04 352 7722 or email reservations@sasscafe-dubai.ae
